Car Insurance Jaguar (Car Insurance). My trucks check engine light keeps coming on but why?

My trucks check engine light keeps coming on but why? my truck is running 100%. Then the check engine light comes on, it starts doing weird things like starting in 3rd gear from a stop ( its an automatic) and the idle when in park is very low, just above zero. Then the light goes out and it runs perfect for a day or two, then that bloody light comes back and it runs like crap again. It's been to two different mechanics when hooked up to the code reader no codes come up. I just changed the plugs and wires also the ignition strap. This is getting so frustrating because no one seems to know what to do. AAAAARRRGGGGGGGG!!!

Hmmm... Its frustrating ofcourse ,but thats how your truck comunicates with its ECU. My guess is you still have saved codes that need to be purged after the problem with your trans is solved. Even if your engine is in the best of health the CPU monitors other operations as well. My suggestion translate those codes through a competant transmission shop / mechanic. :) Mine`s been almost exactly like that for over a year lol, I just got used to it. (Ram by chance?) There is a shift sensor in the trans that can be replaced, that should clear your shifting issues, as for the engine, cap and rotor, pcv valve, air filter, oil change if it`s old, timing, maybe a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in your next tank of gas, all these are cheap things that can`t hurt to try. They can`t read the code unless the light is on- next time it comes on take it directly to someone who can scan it for you. check your vacuum lines on the motor.sound like one is leaking. starting in gear is a sensor bad.

Jaguar . moped boggs while accelerating?

moped boggs while accelerating? Im fixing my friends moped, he told me it wouldnt go over 25 mph and i wont even start now. so i took it to my shop assuming that it was just not getting enough gas. I started with draining the tank and cleaning all of the hoses (all clean), than pulled out the carb, disassembled it and cleaned it. It was spotless anyways. Then as i was putting it back together i realized the throttle wasnt even catching, so I pulled the cable out to find it was frozen. so i fixed that with some WD40 and about 2 hours of working it back and forth. Than i put everything back together and it started right up. it seemed to run fine, than took it down the road and about 3/4 twist of the throttle it bogs down. but at lower speeds it picks up fine. what could this be? i've heard a couple of things. People say its still junk in the carb, others say it could need a valve adjustment. what do you think? car insurance.

Jaguar . My antifreeze level is low, what could this be?

My antifreeze level is low, what could this be? I drive a 2001 ford focus, and the antifreeze level seems to be going low...I had someone add antifreeze to it when it wasn't cool, so I'm assuming this may be why? They didn't want to wait until it cooled down..but anyways...It's not leaking antifreeze that is noticable, I checked my oil it's not milky or anything like that...It doesn't sound like it's burning antifreeze, and it's not overheating or anything...my exhaust doesn't have white smoke coming out of it..My engine oil is black, I'm not sure what this means I do need an oil change but i'm not due to it...it's not idling really rough...I'm not sure what it could be.. When I did check my antifreeze I noticed a little bit of bubbles on the top of the over flow, which is where I filled it up at...and it's below the minimum line now...I don't know what to do about this! car insurance.

Jaguar . How to Replace Rear Brake Pads on a Buick LeSabre

A key safety feature of your Buick LeSabre is the braking system. Maintaining your braking system is a critical responsibility as a car owner, as failure to do so can lead to injury or worse for you or others. Replacing the rear drum brakes on your LeSabre is a task that you can do yourself in just a few hours with the right tools and knowledge.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Lug wrench
Jack
Jack stands
Flat-head screwdriver
Brake wash
Safety goggles
Gloves
Brake spring removal tool
Pliers
Parking brake cable removal tool
Brake grease
Brake pads

Step by Step :
1
Park the LeSabre on flat ground. Make sure that the emergency brake is on and that the car is in "Park."
2
Loosen the lug nuts on the rear tires so that you will not need to apply a great deal of force to remove them when the car is up on the jack stands.
3
Jack up the rear of the car and place one jack stand underneath the outer frame of the car on each side. Look in your owner's manual for the exact position. Slowly lower the car onto the jack stands.
4
Loosen and remove the lug nuts from the rear wheels, then remove them. From this point on, work on the brakes one side at a time.
5
Remove the brake drum from the wheel hub. If it won't slide off, you will need to retract the brake shoes. To retract the brake shoes, remove the rectangular rubber plug from the back of the brake, then rotate the sprocket inside the drum with a flat-head screwdriver. Use an upward motion and keep rotating the sprocket until the drum comes off.
6
Clean the drum with brake wash. The brake dust might contain asbestos, so wear rubber gloves and safety goggles and avoid making direct contact with the brake wash and brake dust.
7
Disconnect the shoe retracting springs from the pin at the top of the brake with the brake spring removal tool, then use the tool to remove the springs at the bottom of the brake.
8
Locate the auto-adjuster tab and lift it up with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver and disconnect the auto-adjuster cable. The auto-adjuster tab is a small metal tab at the bottom of the wheel hub.
9
Remove the primary braking shoe from the wheel hub (it should be completely disconnected), then detach the secondary braking shoe from the parking brake cable and remove it.

Step by Step :
10
Wash off the wheel hub with brake wash, taking the same precautions that you did in Step 6.

Step by Step :
11
Apply brake grease to the areas of the wheel hub where it will come into contact with the brake shoes.

Step by Step :
12
Slide the new brake pads into the same position where the old pads were located.

Step by Step :
13
Re-assemble the brake, reversing the process that you used to take it apart. Repeat this process for the brakes on the other side.

Step by Step :
14
Place the tires back onto the hubs and screw the lug nuts into place. Don't tighten the lug nuts all the way; just use enough force so that you meet resistance when you turn the lug wrench.

Step by Step :
15
Jack the car up and remove the jack stands. Slowly lower the LeSabre to the ground and tighten all of the lug nuts.

Jaguar . How to Replace Rear Disc Brake Pads on a 1995 Pontiac

All disc brake pads are changed almost the same way. Some disc brake pads are mounted inside the brake caliper, and some brake pads are secured to a metal frame around the brake rotor. Rear disc brakes provide about 40 percent of the stopping power for your 1995 Pontiac, and the other 60 percent of the power comes from the front brakes, but you still need properly working rear brakes.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Tire iron
Jack
Jack stands (2)
Ratchet set
Clamp
Replacement brake pads

Step by Step :
1
Loosen the rear wheel nuts with a tire iron. Raise the rear of the Pontiac with a jack and support the rear end on two jack stands.
2
Remove the rear wheels from the Pontiac's frame and set them aside. Loosen the retaining nuts on the top rear right and left sides of the brake calipers with a ratchet set. Pull the rear calipers off of the rear rotors.
3
Pull the brake pads off of the metal frame or out of the brake calipers. Place a clamp over the piston in the center of the caliper and the rear frame of the caliper. Tighten the clamp until the piston is pushed back into the caliper.
4
Position the new brake pads onto the frame around the caliper or inside the calipers in the same location as the old pads. Replace the calipers onto the top rear rotor and tighten the nuts on the rear of the caliper.
5
Remount the rear wheels onto the frame and tighten the rear wheel nuts with the tire iron. Raise the Pontiac's rear end with the jack and remove the jack stands. Lower the Pontiac to the ground and tighten the wheel nuts.

Keeping your engine clean • Cleaning your vehicle's interior J\ car is more than a collection of parts and systems. When you drive v \ your vehicle or try to trade it in or sell it, it's judged on its appearance as well as its performance. Contrary to popular belief, the main reason for washing your car often and keeping a good coat of wax on it is not to keep it looking good, but to wash away the salt, mud, and chemical-laden dust and dirt that provide breeding grounds for rust and accelerate paint deterioration. If you don't care how your car looks and intend to drive the same machine until it spontaneously destructs like the "Wonderful One-Horse Shay" (which, according to the poem, ran perfectly for 100 years and then abruptly ceased to exist when everything failed at once), consider this: After years of driving and restoring cars, I've found that clean vehicles run better! After all, humans, plants, and animals respond to being kept clean and cared for, so why shouldn't your car? And if you think that a vehicle is an insensitive object, you haven't been reading this book very carefully. At any rate, why not try it and see? All it costs you is a little elbow grease and a few soap bubbles. li 7 0 Part V: He|Ping Your Car Look lts Best Cleaning the Exterior 1025 Car Insurance 2010 volvo v70 32r designwagon4d 499028

Keeping the exterior of your vehicle clean isn't a matter of being a fanatic who spends every second of free time washing and waxing and dusting; just spending an hour or two each week can keep your new set of wheels young or brighten up Old Faithful. Washing your Vehicle If you live in an area near the seashore, where a lot of salt is used on the roads in the winter, or where there is industrial air pollution, it's imperative that you wash your vehicle as often as once a week. If you have no access to a hose or a place to wash your car, or if the weather in your area gets so cold that the water freezes on the windshield, drive to one of those coin-operated

do-it-yourself car washes and use its facilities. The steamy hoses keep both you and your car warm enough to wash away the mud and salt in the winter and can do an even better job than you could do at home, especially if your water pressure is low. Most people think that there's nothing special to know about washing a car, but this isn't the case. Doing the job efficiently saves you time and effort and the car comes out looking great. If you work in a haphazard way, the task takes much longer, and you run the risk of scratching the finish, streaking the surface, and leaving the body vulnerable to rust. If your vehicle was built after the mid-1980s, it probably has a clear

.Chapter 23: Keeping Your Car Clean and Beautiful f»71 If you've never washed the vehicle with a hose before, spray lightly around the edges of the windows and the rear deck lid for a short time and then check to see if the weather-stripping leaks. If it does, consult the instructions in Chapter 24 for patching or replacing weather-stripping, and try to avoid spraying these areas until you remedy the problem. Conserve water. Don't let the hose run while you work. Use it only to wet and rinse the car, and shut it off when you don't need it. Car Wash Association studies have found that people often use as much as 140 gallons for a single car wash, which isn't surprising when you consider that a &inch hose can deliver 14 gallons of water per minute. Use just enough water pressure to wet the exterior efficiently. Blasts at extremely high pressure may loosen and chip paint and parts. Use a sponge, soft rag (old terrycloth towels or T-shirts are wonderful), or cotton wash mitt. To avoid cobwebby scratches, follow the contours of the surface rather than going in circles. Rinse the rag often to get rid of grease and dust particles. Be thorough but gentle. Vigorous scrubbing can scratch and remove the paint. Before you wash the car body, hose it down to get rid of the surface dust, and then clean and polish such exterior surfaces as vinyl hardtops, convertible tops, glass windows and sunroofs, chrome bumpers and trim, side mirrors, wheel covers, whitewalls, and tires. Then, when you wash and rinse the car itself, you'll be sure to get off the last residue of all the substances you used for those jobs. Later sections of this chapter explain how to clean and restore some of those special surfaces. Use gentle cleansers unless you intend to rewax your car. Your car's sensitive skin requires gentle cleansers just as your own body does. Don't use laundry or dish soap or detergent; use a commercial car-washing product instead. Soap and detergent remove the wax and other protective finishes from the surface. Use biodegradable washing and cleaning products to minimize environmental pollution. Unlike the wastewater that is decontaminated and/or recycled by commercial car washes, the dirty, soapy water that you use travels down the sewers and into the waterways and oceans. If your car is really filthy and oily, it may be better to take it to a car wash. Always wash a car body from the top down so that soap scum and sludge don't muck up freshly washed areas. Remember to get to all the corners where dirt can collect and rust can form: behind the wheels, inside the fenders, and behind the bumpers.
